The Blog is Back!

I know, I know! I've been AWOL for....EVER. But I'm back, baby and ready to rumble. I made my NYR like 3 weeks before the new year. I want 12 races finished this year, including the D30 and that *%&*%&*&^ wall. : ) My cheerleader/mypain in my arse/bestie, K, is abandoning me (I mean "going home")  in a couple of months. So I will be doing  the majority of the season without her. : (  Fortunately, I have an alternative. My geek twin/cousin in spirit/new pain in my arse, Aub, will be filling in. She is the reason that I will be in my first race of the season tomorrow morning. I'm excited but know it is going to suck. We are having unseasonably good weather, so I may be pleasantly surprised. The holidays  have not been good to me or my training.  I didn't go overboard on holiday goodies, but me and my entire family has battled one illness or another.  My lupus has been more aggressive than usual considering the warm weather.  But I'm ready to run. I miss running every day. Never thought that I would say that in my lifetime, but it's true. So Happy New Year, Happy running, and happy new adventures.
